I achieved this look using a combination of nail polish, acrylic paint, matte & shiny topcoat and "sand" texture!

Fashion Friday: Thakoon

This week we have decided to go with Thakoon's Fall 2012 Runway Collection.

I did this using a combination of nail polish and acrylic paint with matte, "sand" and gloss finishes.

Fashion Friday: Oscar de la Renta

 Due to last week's Fashion Inspiration post being a huge success..

Me & my fashion blogger bff Cassi from The Granny Treatment have decided to do a weekly collaboration called 

"Fashion Fridays"!

Since she is the fashion savvy one, she will be choosing the designer and collection.

I will then choose 5 different items from the collection and recreate them as nail art :)

Pattern: Argyle!

Argyle patterned kawaii style nails with 3D acrylic bow :)

I did these using Essie "Lilacism", black acrylic and striper brush & glitter nail art striper.

Fashion Forward: Shoshanna

My best friend, Cassi, is really into fashion.

 We were recently talking about all of the awesome nail art that was seen during this year's New York Fashion Week.  She works for a department store clothing label, and she had the great idea to take some of the fabric prints from their Shoshanna Fall 2012 collection and paint them on my nails!

I used a combination of nail polish and acrylic paint, matte & glossy topcoats to do these designs.
Here's what I came up with:

I personally am a big fan of fashion-inspired nails. 

Especially since I don't own any fashion forward clothing, at least my nails can be trendy!!
